Companies are about to apply<br \/>\n        for licences to mine. If this goes ahead, millions of tonnes of black sand will be dug up, destroying the seabed ecology, threatening the endangered<br \/>\n        maui's dolphin, surf breaks and causing coastal erosion. All for no maximum 5% revenue for NZ, and foreign-owned companies.
