More and more crew are asking the question, where are we going and what is the forecast? And with the waters globally ebbing and flowing more erratically,
with treacherous patches on the horizon, how will the crew, not wanting to mutiny, take personal responsibility, come together to chart a new course
that not only empowers the 99% but also offers up innovative solutions to shaping our collective destiny as a conscious humanity awakening to their
role in this life.
Building community is the catch cry, as crew scramble to acknowledge the severity of the challenges ahead.
They have figured out that they need to simplify the systems onboard and are looking at the basics of clean air, pure water and an organic food chain.
Health is becoming a priority, coupled to loving families, dynamic communities and far more transparent governance.
Below are some of many groups and organizations that are discussing how they may be integrated into a grass roots upward movement that manifests
community resilience and reliance and builds safer more secure neighborhoods of kinship and cooperation.
I encourage you to talk with your friends and neighbours the pros and cons of extending your outreach, be it to co operate to buy cheaper food, to hire
equipment, to share financial situations.
By 'consciously' asking and talking to every person in your locality, posing the question how can we make our community more cohesive and secure, especially
for our children? That can happen over coffee, lunch and afternoon tea, dinner with neighbors, friends, cussies, associates and at the photocopy machine.
Reinvigorating 'Neighbourhood Support' is a way to keep neighbors relating to each other. This still has so much potential and possibility, and would
not take too much to establish especially if your local councilors were visionaries. If the are not ... inspire them!

Then go to Transition Towns, visit their website, and learn who in your area may be involved.
Follow up with them and share ways to integrate the powerful information that this 'global grass roots' organization gathers.
Go to Permaculture NZ and learn how to grow an organic food forest in your back yard and even the front of your section. And possibly affiliate with
the NZ Organic Society here in NZ to learn the secrets of successful gardening.
