That includes understanding your inside nature and focusing on easily understood vocabulary to express your feelings. Because one of the greatest challenges we have today is to be able to vocalise our feelings in such a way as to be clearly understood. There is a gigantic chasm especially among boys and men in finding the vocabulary to express their needs.

So what is it that affects us in a tragedy that directly afterwards people instinctively lean into each other for support and comfort?

It all started when the earthquake in Christchurch struck in February 2011 when instantly a survival situation turned everyones world upside down and all around people were communicating there concerns whilst neighbours and friends looked out for each other by visiting to check on their health and well being then pitching in to cooperate and work together - it showed a presence of care and goodness, being right there for people, sharing food on the streets, people boiling water for cups of tea on camp cookers, rigging up a generator so as to charge up cell phones - and this mindfulness deeply affected Cameron by the outpouring of community spirit. That it was so very instinctive and that day and preceding hours and days after continued to affect Cameron for weeks and months afterwards - right up until today, that it became the catalyst for the formation of the group ‘you being you’ to come into being.

The events of Christchurch brought about a collective heart awakening that was powerful, very intense and very visible. Because the earthquakes capacity to strip away everyones character or body armour it left them open, vulnerable and present. Ones station in life of house, car, job etc, meant nothing - what was imperative was shelter, food, water and companionship - that was what the moment gathered and in that aftermath of continuing aftershocks and atmosphere, people instinctively leaned in and were kind, and open, there was a softness and a vulnerability in which they all shared and it was primal and very powerful and over the ensuing weeks most of the people stated - “would it not be wonderful if we could be this close all the time"" as out of this traumatic event very carrying groups and connections happened right across the breadth of Christchurch to other outer lying affected areas.

Today the earth is still being shaken up with so many events, fire, tornados, quakes and tsunami’s and todays ongoing refugee challenge too and what this is doing it is awakening people to really comprehend what is really important in life. This is also having an affect on people by questioning life’s purpose.

The www.YoubeingYou.org website and practitioners that Cameron and Brian are a part of, are wanting to offer practical tools for connecting our inner and outer worlds using the tools of timeless wisdom. Step by step they explore holistic world views which help us understand our inner life workings and how they relate to our outer world experience. You Being You gives us language for connecting with what’s important to us as unique individuals. Knowing our true nature can help us make wiser choices and decisions about how we steer ourselves through life. The teachings naturally encourage empathy towards ourselves and others. The expression of empathy is compassionate action which enhances all relationships.

This interview also covers:

That many people through out the country are awakening to different ways of being which encourage connection, openness and sharing. You Being You is designed to encourage healing conversations about how to be present and whole.

Presence is a gift and a power that most people have not thought of and as it is a power it also is a force of nature … mana is one way of understanding presence. Often multi tasking can be distracting because we cannot really do what we really are focussing on, because of the pace of the world that we are immersed in, can take us off centre. Stillness in your being is important in cultivating presence.

Certain people in the areas of health and support services are becoming aware of mindfulness as a movement which is really taking place around the world.  This stepping towards a change is all about becoming aware and awake of being more mindful of what is right now. This is also bringing presence to life and how to engage in the fullness of your being and how to align with your destiny and how we shape our future.

Especially covering young people and children who are awakening to change - the so called indigo, rainbow and crystal children, who find themselves at odds with the general consensus that overlays society. The needing to be understood and to be nurtured as we are all in this together.

When we listen to people, especially when they need an ear so as to air their thoughts, feelings and hurt, we are medicine for them, we are all healers.

The language of the heart is universal and spoken all over the world and in truth we are partners with the universe. It’s also about this global collective awakening in the young people and that they have the keys and the solutions. If you are an older person and you want to share, mentor some younger people in your life and ground them in a holistic and caring way.

It may be as easy as just being there for someone and listening. If they are freaking out, knowing that someone is actually present, can be all that is needed.

There is today an emerging feminine power coming into being that encourages cooperation and harmony, lessening competition and division and by the integration of the masculine and feminine energies a much needed balance is now coming to our  planet

We are all in this together is what Brian said - no separation.
